The Debra Farris Band at Seven South

In late August of 2003, the Debra Farris Band -- comprising Debra on vocals and guitar, Bob Pester on guitar, Mike Dietzmann on drums, and Andrew Duncan on bass -- spent a week of late nights with engineer/producer Ed Layola at Santa Barbara's Seven South studio, trying to capture the excitement of their live performances. Soon you'll be able to hear the results; meanwhile here's what it looked like.

Ed, the mellow engineer/producer. Not many of either can tune a set of drums.

Debra sings it like it is.

David Gilmour stops by. (No, really it's Bob!)

Andrew plays all his parts in the control room. How appropriate.

Mike, fresh from the Rolling Stones tour.

Andrew tries to get funky.

Debra does get funky.

I know it's midnight, but could you try that solo again?
